If one of your intentions for 2023 is to be healthier, here are some tips to incorporate into your lifestyle: 
  • DRINK MORE WATER - water helps flush out toxins in your body
  • ADD MORE FRUITS & VEGETABLES TO YOUR MEALS - fruits and vegetables are naturally high in fiber, and digest slowly, giving you long lasting energy.
  • MINIMIZE PROCESSED FOODS

WINTER WELLNESS CHALLENGE WEEK #2 - January 11-18th  |  MINDFULNESS

WHAT IS MINDFULNESS?
Mindfulness is simply being aware of what is happening right now without wishing it were different; enjoying the pleasant without holding on when it changes (which is will); being with the unpleasant without fearing it will always be this way (which it won't). ~ James Baraz

BREATH
Breath in, hold for three seconds and exhale. Count seven breaths. 

SENSE YOUR SENSES
Choose one of your senses to focus on, and notice what you experience with only that sense. 

PRACTICE
Try a body scan. Close your eyes and focus on your breath as you bring your awareness to each body part from your head to toe.

WINTER WELLNESS CHALLENGE WEEK #1 - January 4-11th  |  HABITS AND INTENTIONS 

Before setting your intentions and changing habits, it's a great idea to take a few moments to check in with yourself. I highly recommend taking the quiz at www.16personalities.com. You'll be amazed with how insightful your test results will be!

INTENTIONS:
An intention is an idea for how you want to be. Live. And show up in the world. What are your values, needs and beliefs? Visualize your most authentic future self, now you are ready to set your intentions! Your intentions can be a comforting reminder, a mantra or even an affirmation of your purpose. 

HABITS:
Good habits are just as addictive as bad habits, but much more rewarding!
How to reset habits:
  1. Decide what habit you want to change.
  2. What does that habit give you?
  3. What can i replace that habit with?
  4. What will my action step be?

EXAMPLE:
  1. I want to change my habit of negative self talk.
  2. That habit gives me a sense of control.
  3. I can replace that habit with humor and self love.
  4. I will give my negative self talk habit the nickname of "my critic.”
