WHAT IS MINDFULNESS? Mindfulness is simply being aware of what is happening right now without wishing it were different; enjoying the pleasant without holding on when it changes (which is will); being with the unpleasant without fearing it will always be this way (which it won't). ~ James Baraz BREATH Breath in, hold for three seconds and exhale. Count seven breaths. SENSE YOUR SENSES Choose one of your senses to focus on, and notice what you experience with only that sense. PRACTICE Try a body scan. Close your eyes and focus on your breath as you bring your awareness to each body part from your head to toe.
